Real trains sounds like a cool hobby. What size are they? Are they like the Lionel type or the kind you can ride on? Where are you in CA? My wife is from the North Bay area. I’d love to see the trains sometime.
John m,
True dat.
Night,
LOL!! I still listen to my music loudly also. It just doesn’t seem as loud to me anymore. (What ya’ say?)
Hello Scott,
The Bamboo rod school I went to is JD Wagner Rod Builder. It was great, it was in Sandusky Ohio at a fly fishing club. Beautiful accomodations (gourmet meals, nice room) a trout stream snaked it's way therought the club. We could fish while not in class. Igt was 5 days and you take home the blank ready for urathane and wrapping guides. I had graphite flyriod building experience and this brought it to the next level.
Dale.

Chiming in with my 2 cents worth...
just be grateful your old-cootness is confined to straight razors!
I'm 46 and seriously into tube radios, film cameras, old coffee percolators, diesel trucks (stick-shift, naturally) etc - and I still listen to hardcore emo/grunge (when there's no one around) played from vinyl through a tube amplifier!
Be proud of your 'eccentricity'!
Adrian,
What kind of trucks? I have an '01 Dodge Cummins 4x4 with a 5 speed.
You're at the right place.
I'm 47 and I also fish with bamboo flyrods. (hence my screenname)
