Texas still allows barbers to use a traditional straight razor, so I highly doubt that it's illegal to own a straight razor...

WOW, I feel like an idiot. When I posted a reply to one of the contributors on this thread i said something about wikipedia. I looked it up on my computer and it says legal, not illegal. I checked again on my cell phone, and on my cell phone, I looked it up, and it says illegal. Odd. I initially read the article on my phone, and from thence comes the question. Very sorry for haven taken up any of anybody's time. I'm sure the actual internet is right, not on my phone. Once again, Very sorry.
For clarification, I checked the Wiki article.
Some areas require barbers who provide straight-razor shaving to use a version that employs a disposable blade system. Still other jurisdictions ban the use of all straight razors and barbers use modern disposable blade razors instead. In places such as Australia, New Zealand, Ontario, Pennsylvania, Denver, Boston, Texas and San Diego, however, the use of straight razors is legal.[
If you re-read this, you will see that the word they use is LEGAL, not ILLEGAL. Regardless, this description is in the context of use by a barber, not an individual. You are free (literally) to purchase and use straight razors in Texas, and in the rest of the country, as an individual.
Okay, lets consider jurisdiction.
Are you in contract with admiralty jurisdiction or living under God's laws?
Last I checked TX was a republic. Legal and Illegal are corporate fictions.
One needs know the ground they stand on.
