LOL No worries, Ace. I'm still around, and perfecting my shave! I decided that I will only film a new video when I tackle a NEW area of the face. After all, this thread is about a Beginner's Journey, so I think it's only fitting to film something that I am trying for the first time.

That way, people (especially beginners) can see some of the same challenges that I am faced with and learn/grow from them.

Right now, I am still shaving the face and neck as I did in my first two videos, and doing that until it becomes second nature. I'm almost there! Then, I think the next video in a week or two will show me trying to hit the moustache area for the first time.

I will then do the same in a fourth video showing the chin area.

Once I get really good and feel like I can contribute something knowledgeable, I will film an entire shave....not as a beginner but as someone who is showing tips and tricks that I have learned.

I do have some similar videos I plan to post soon showing some tips on stropping and razor holding technique that I've found, but haven't yet seen anyone else point out.

So no worries, I'm not bleeding out on my bathroom floor or anything! I'm still lurking and responding to posts as time permits!

It's not me shaving, but here's another video I filmed to help beginners practice how to HOLD the razor and FEEL the mechanics of it without actually shaving.

I started it as a separate topic since it's more of a HELP video and not a video of me learning how to shave as I do in this current topic.

You asked for it, you got it! Here is my FIRST ATTEMPT at shaving the mustache and chin area. Did I mention it was my first time every doing this?!

So if you like blood and aren't too queasy, then proceed to watch the videos below!

I broke them into a smaller intro and the main shaving video because it exceeded the maximum time limit for YouTube.

    Nice job.
Even with the cut you are making great progress!!!
I'm proud to be your friend.
Glad you did not bleed out since I'm still in Miami and could not rush you to the ER!

I appreciate the fact that this video stuff takes guts. I think you did a fine job for a first moustache and chin area approach, certainly better than my first shot at it. Please keep the videos coming, all very educational. Don't worry about the cuts. They are part of the learning experience.
