    Default Cut myself today.

Ive been SR shaving for a few months and de shaving when in a hurry for a few weeks. Well it's the end of the school year so I've been in a constant state of rush and have had to use the de for the last two weeks. Well today I had an awards ceremony and took the time to straight shave. I stropped, showered, steamed and then lathered up with truefitt and hill 1805 (loved it but the sample seemed a little thinner than the sandelwood one I've used). The shave went amazing. The closest I've ever gotten, litteraly my first true bbs. When finished I did a cold water rinse, coated my face with witch hazel then truefitt and hill ultimate comfort AS balm after about 20 minutes I applied my favorite AS splash. Lastly I stripped, and oiled the razor and put it away. Unfortunately coming upstairs I tripped on the cat fell and busted open my eyelid and a bit of the skin covering the eye socket when I hit it on the door knob. Well this brings me to the moral of the story never apply skeptic pencil to a cut like that, it hurts so much more and even a deep shaving scoop.

    Ouch!

I hope it heals quickly. Did it give you a black eye?

When I was in graduate school, I ran into an 18" high glass coffee table late at night, which left a quarter-size hole on my shin. I could see the bone. Not wanting to spend the time or money to go to the emergency room, I poured aftershave on the wound. I nearly passed out from the pain. I still have the scar. Aftershave and styptic pencils belong on the face!

Happy Shaving and good luck on the NROTC scholarship.

Sorry to hear about that. My wife recently nicked herself while shaving her legs. I thought I'd help out and got out my alum block for her. One touch to her leg with the block and she near knocked my head off yelling "that f**king kills!!!".

Moral to that story... don't touch anyone with an alum block.

    Devilpup,

Wow! Be careful. I know what you mean by tripping over your cat. I have two of them and they have a mysterious way of getting underfoot and causing you to stumble.

Glad that you didn't fall on your razor, break it and cut a vein on your wrist. That would not only have been disastrous, but also life threatening.
