Thread: Moles!

I've got the hang of the SR except for one thing: moles. I have some on my face, and they end up bleeding every time I try to shave them. Any tips for shaving over moles without halfway cutting them off?

I incised one accidentally once. Since then I've learned to shave around anything like that.

You could have them removed or simply be more careful...

Or..... or you could be less careful and simply have them removed! (Have the antibiotic ointment ready, maybe a little round band-aid on top.)

That's what I was going to say. I had (note had) one on my neck. It's pretty much history now. LOL.

If you "do it yourself", remember that moles have a good blood supply & things could get messy...and it could come back. This is why I mentioned having it permanently removed (by burning or freezing) by a professional or just learning to avoid it.

IME, I just shave over them. Mine aren't raised too high, so they haven't presented a problem. I remember once instance, when I first got my Boker back from Utopian after having it honed, and it was RIDICULOUSLY sharp, I dug the spike into my mole and cut of half-off. Styptic, TP and 5 minutes of tears took care of it. Haven't had a problem since.

Funny you should mention this now. I recently had one removed. it wasn't to bad and since it was I only had to pay an office visit (so if your insured), it might be worth looking into.
