Nick on the bridge of the nose!!
Unbelievable..... I managed to touch the bridge of my nose with the blade edge while shaving tonite. I reach across with my right hand, and don't ask me how, but I managed to just touch the bridge of my nose with the edge of the blade during a reach while I was trying to see what I was doing in the mirror.
Just enough to cause a little drop of blood to form, with a tiny line showing the path of the razor.
unbelievable. really.
M-- Any day I get out of bed, and the first thing out of my mouth is not a groan, that's going to be a good day --

Thanks for the evening chuckle. Certain we've all done something similarly silly.
You did share a great reminder though. Always respect the blade, mindful where it is. Even if you need to simply scratch yourself, put the razor down first.

Mike,
You may need a medieval chain-mail balaclava that covers all the bits you don't want to cut....hehehe
I think we've all lost track of the blade at some stage - BE CAREFUL!!!
Just for the record, I have a lovely nick just under the middle of my nose from my 4/8 Grah's magnetic that I used today.
I think the new strop is working - didn't even feel itHang on and enjoy the ride...

Thanked: 1936I was told to watch the blade at all times...I have let that attention lapse too and ended up cutting a forefinger and didn't know how the blade got from point A to point B.
I agree, thanks for the chuckle though!Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.

I guess everybody deserves to have one unique talent. Not to laugh at your pain, but that is an interesting one and must be fun to explain to others.

Gentlemen:
The straight razor is a sassy beauty with sparkling teeth and explosive temper, and if you forget your place in her presence, she will remind you.

Yeah, I've dinged my earlobe 3 or 4 times in the year that I've been straight shaving, always when using one of my spikes. The other thing I've done is get the front of my ear with a spike going WTG down the sideburns. This usually leads to the utterance of colorful methaphors.
