After using my new Dovo 3 or 4 times a week for about a month, I felt that it had lost some of its edge. It was still sharp, but it was taking 4 passes and some pressure to get a good shave with it. Rather than sending it back to SRD to be honed and switching to my other razor, I decided to try to refresh the edge using 0.5 micron chromium oxide paste. I watched a couple of videos on the topic, and found Lynn Abrams' YouTube video to be exactly what I needed. I ordered the crayon from SRD, followed Lynn's advice, and shaved with the refreshed razor this morning. I was very surprised by how much sharper the blade was. I had to back way off on the pressure, but I still got my closest straight razor shave yet (only a few months into things). Thanks to Lynn and everyone else for the videos and advice.
