There are numerous places to buy locally in the UK.

OH YEAH! ;) Did not read the entire post! SRD DOES ship worldwide! Quite reasonably! Give them a gander! Can't go wrong there!
There's also The Invisible Edge, though they're closed at the moment until the 19th of September

Both Strop shop and the Invisible Edge provide excellent service, you couldn't go wrong with either.

++1 on Mr Neil Miller; his work is of superb quality and he is a very fine chappie to do business with :)
If you are interested in new build Dovo or Thiers-Issard razors, then Mr Dempster is the chappie for that.
I have bought razors and strops from SRD, and their service is excellent :)
