were to buy in the uk
looking to buy a straight razor and i am looking for my first. i have looked at a few at straight razor designs looked at there razor/strop combo deals but i dont think they ship to the UK any idea ?

There are numerous places to buy locally in the UK.
One of them are www.strop-shop.co.uk - hand made straight razor strops, razor pouches, shaving accessories, vintage razors, razor honing and restoration
Neil Miller runs that place, and a fine Gentleman he is

Did not read the entire post! SRD DOES ship worldwide! Quite reasonably! Give them a gander! Can't go wrong there!

Both Strop shop and the Invisible Edge provide excellent service, you couldn't go wrong with either.

++1 on Mr Neil Miller; his work is of superb quality and he is a very fine chappie to do business with
If you are interested in new build Dovo or Thiers-Issard razors, then Mr Dempster is the chappie for that.
I have bought razors and strops from SRD, and their service is excellent
