Hey everyone, quick question about basic razor maintenance. After my shave, I run a soft towel over the blade and handle, and fold a small piece of toilet paper to get inside the crevice of the handle. Also, I would imagine that stropping also provides a little bit of drying help.

Anyways, my question was, when I run a towel over the blade of the razor, should I be avoiding the blades edge? Can simply running a towel parallel to the edge dull the blade, even if it is done before stropping?

Also, is a soft towel safe to use, or should I be using a microfiber cloth?
