Default No longer a Straight Razor virgin

So I've had my straight for a week or so now.

Today I gave it my first shot. Making lather in a bowl is hard i need more practice. I'm using Taylors of Old Bond Street cream and when I make the lather is does not last long and neither does it create very much. Anyway to the shave itself.

The prep: Soaked the brush in hot water for a few minutes before making lather then lathered up and placed a hot towel on my face for 30seconds. Wiped the lather off and then back on again with the hot towel for another 30seconds.

To the shave. Lathered up and straight in with the shave. One side seems to be easier then the other. The chin and mustache area i would say was the toughest areas.

Post shave. Round the face with the alum stone and some areas really do sting! The washed my face with cold water. Finished with a little bit of E45 cream.

Overall I was happy with the shave and will continue to shave with a straight for years to come.

Now as a novice to straight razor you would expect nicks and cuts.

For a bit of fun: I managed to cut myself and nick myself, but where?

No prizes but just for a bit of fun. If no one guess by the weekend I shall reveal.

EDIT: My Shaving kit can be seen here
