Hi there, It's been a month I'm looking forward to get my beard cut by a straith razor. I read a bit on this forum, practicly bought a 50$ straith razor and forgot about it. then, last week I went to get my beard done by a Italian barber in Montreal and I loved it!!! I got out with a silky baby skin with a perfect goaty. Now, I just bought a cheap 14$ straith razor with exchangable blade to try it my self for the first time but I found it hard to get my skin well prepare to make the blade glide well.

what are the normal step for preparing the skin to receive the blade? what product, what step and where to get the product too.

it might sound like a dumb question but back at the barber shop it look like the guys applied 2 or 3 different kind of stuff on my skin before cutting the beard.

thanks for the help!
Chris.
