Hello All!
well, you may recall I was having some issues with the sharpness on the razor I had. I met up with red96a, and we set up a meet to have my razor honed. when we met up, we concluded that the razor I was trying to shave with was was really good, for a paper weight. Well that day it happened that I ran into a yard sale , and the man there had 3 razors, a Double duck mini, a tennis, and a fine edge cut corp out of NY. All the blades were made in Solingen Germany, so for $20.00 I bought them all. Since my original razor would become a paperweight, red96a decided to hone the double duck.

I gotta tell ya, today was my first shave with the Duck, I could hardly feel it gliding over my face, and when I finished, my face was as smooth as a new baby's butt!! Now I'm addicted. I'll never go back to the electric razor again!

Thanks to all you guys for the wealth of information, and a Special thanks to red96a for the fine hone job he did! I truly believe having the right bevel and and finish honing made all the difference (that and having a good razor to work with), I have also acquired a Clauss with Ivory Handel, and the gentlemen I got the razors from stopped me today and gave me a Deep-Cut diamond strop in good shape with no nicks so I think I will become a Str8 razor junkie!!

By the way, should I use some mink oil on the strop?

Thanks again
