The Omega Boars bristle(left) is the newest and still needs some breaking in but it has become my favorite.

Cost about $14
Nice big handle
Lathers MWF better than badger
Surprisingly soft even new

The Silvertip Badger in the center was an Ebay purchase.

Cost $24 delivered from China.
Handle big enough for comfort
Very soft
Lathers like a machine
Holds heat through a second pass
Was smelly for the first couple of uses

The Tweezerman on the right is pure badger.

Cost $12
Handle is too small for my hands
Face lathers quickly
Holds heat nicely
Nearly as soft as the silvertip
Lost some bristles at first

The Badger brushes lather much more quickly than the boar using Proraso and are at least for now softer.
The Omega works better with MWF which I have just started using.

Lots of inexpensive good choices for learners on a budget.
