How many razors would be a good compromise?
I know you can never have to many bright shinny sharp things:D (thats why I got more than 50 Spyderco's:nj ) but how many is good for a reasonable rotation?

hahaha, man, you are asking the wrong crowd here.
I think you'll find round these parts, it's probably the number of posts you have :)
To be fair just 2 could do you just fine. That way each razor has some time to "rest" before you pick it up.
Offcourse you'll probably not think that's enough after a while. But I personally can do with just one since I only shave every other day. My skin is quite sensitive and beard quite light...plus it's blond so you don't see it for a few days untill it starts to get quite long.
So all I need (If I'd becutting down to a minimum) would be my pretty 7/8 Thiers Issard....
I kinda figured that would be the answer!
No matter how many you have, its never enough!
What I was trying to get to was should I be buying one or two mint condition razors, or go for a handfull of older razors?
I like the mint ones.....but once again it's a matter of taste. Just have a look around and see what you like. The older razors are often very nice to, once they've been restored that is. You might like having a razor that you've put a lot of work into even more then getting a brand new one...
The honest, no nonsense answer is that you need only one razor. One brush, one hone, one strop. One bourbon, one scotch, one beer...

oh, than you simply tell your wife the old mumbo jumbo that the razor needs 48 hours rest between shavings. Add + 48 hours for every razor you plan to get.

But that only gets you to three razors.Quote:

:roflmao
Great guys!Quote:
