First SR shave... Felt the need to post
I've been on here lurking and posting questions and learning as much as possible. I got my razor back from Larry at Whipped Dog today (did an awesome job honing it) so I had to try it out. This weekend I was out and stopped in the Body Shop and picked up some Maca root shave cream and their Razor Relief after shave ( buy one get one free). So I made a practice lather and it was perfect so I put it on my face. dumped the remainder and made another one still practicing. This one had too much water and was soapy so I dumped ran a shower and let my brush soak. The next lather was again perfect. Applied to my face and began to shave. I did my entire face except my mustache and goatee, the angles were too much for my first time. I did two passes WTG. NO NICKS with the SR! pumped about that. BUT ..... and this is the reason I felt compelled to post as I felt it was ironic and would give some others a laugh.... after 30-45mins of holding the sharpest piece of steel I have ever come across against my face I finished the job with a disposable and CUT MYSELF! lol oh the irony. But regardless I had a good first shave and want to thanks those members of the community who have been helpful.
