    Default Real Progress

My first shave was not good at all, only did one side, second shave did both sides 1 small nick. Tonight I shaved both sides and most of my chin no nicks. I think I'm making decent progress especially for some one is definitely left hand challenged. I did 2nd pass with my DE. I think I'll stick with this procedure until I'm feeling really comfortable. I must say I'm really enjoying the whole preshave thing as well as the shave. Funny thing, I had a roommate in college [the 60's] who shaved with a straight razor and we all thought he was an A-Hole. Oh, well.

during the first couple weeks, i think its prudent if you give your skin a day off 1 or 2times a week. i know when its new you wanna do it all day, but remember this is a learning process for both your skills with the razor and your skin to the razor.

take a day or 2 off weekly during the beginning and your skin will thank you.

It'll keep getting more comfortable and one day you'll wake up wondering if you correctly remember what it was really like to shave some other way. Keep at it.
