thanks for the shaving tips everyone you were right i couldn't believe i was forgetting to stretch the skin when i got to my chin a lazy left hand was the culprit looking for more great help.

"here kid your the only one in the family who will appreciate this now" my grandpa said handing me an old and very tattered (cardboard?) case
He had a large box of knives next to him all with stories of boy scouts, his dad, places he'd been and camped. My eyes bugged out when i saw a monkey tail at the end of the rotten case.Inside was a very beautiful razor"this was my mothers fathers razor,i think you should have it now, see if you can sharpen it and use it.The handles are made of bone if i remember right"

I told him i would take really good care of it thats why I'm here.theres no visible rust just some gunk on the pivot part got as much off as i could a couple of small spots here and there i wiped it down and put fresh razor oil on it. wanted to know the best way to store it.it and the case are wrapped in a soft paper towel in a box on my shelfWanna send it out to be cleaned and sharpened but a little scared it might get lost in the mail anything else i should do? also had to show you guys the blade like it?
