Upcoming First Straight Shave and a simple question.
So I have my first new straight razor on it's way. Everything I need to know is covered at SRP but one thing I don't seem to much comment on his how do you clean/rinse your blade between strokes. I have read of people damaging the blad on the tap and others who place a face cloth over the tap to prevent damage.
Do people rinse under the sink or use a towel? With my DE razor I simply rinse under the hot water which not only cleans it but keeps the blade warm.
Any comments from those with experience would be appreciated.

I wipe with my finger. Always find rinsing the blade or wiping with a towel to be too much trouble.
This way I don't have to worry about harming the blade or generating laundry.

I wipe my blade on a moist face cloth. I do stropping strokes. If you dip your razor in water to rinse then just hang a cloth over the tap to prevent banging the razor.
