Kind of a funny story. I live right by a knife store here in Orem and noticed that they had a "Boker Solingen" sticker on the side of their building. So I thought to myself, "What the heck, I'll go check it out and see if they sell straights or do honing." So I walk into the shop (just a small business corner shop) and look around to notice that it's actually a knives only store. No straight razors. Which I figured might be the case as Boker doesn't only make straights, but many other products. So I eventually ask the guy at the counter if they hone straight razors. He replies with, "Why yes we do and it's only 5 dollars!" I was like, "Oh nice! So what kind of method or wet stones would you use?" Guy at the counter: "Oh.....haha I can't tell you what method we use." Me: "Oh I can understand that, I don't need to know specifics. I just wanted to make sure you aren't going to use something crazy like a pull through pocket knife sharpener you know what I mean" i said with a chuckle. Guy at the counter: "Yeah sorry, I just can't tell you how we do it." At this point I got a little worried, the guy wouldn't even tell me if he was using ceramic, stones, rods, etc. Not one reassuring detail. I wasn't about to hand over a brand new Boker SR and have some mystery $5 hack job ruin my razor.

So.... I'm looking for someone in or around the Orem/Provo area that has experience in honing. Anyone?
