So what did santa bring you?
Me? I got a restored Rappenhagen, 2 antique shave mugs, Trueffit and Hill cream,D.R. Harris soap, Trueffit and Hill after shave balm, various pre shave oils, an Art of Shaving book from 1905, and a wind up splash fun scuba diver man for my tub. What kind of loot did you guys get?

I jest you not. I got Nivea shaving gel.
To be fair to the wife, it comes with some Nivea shave balm which is most welcome. I've now got a tin & a half of shave gel/foam that's never going to get touched. Awesome.

Thanked: 14I received a strange gift. It is a 1/2 pint jelly jar with spices,( clove, bay leaf, cinnamon, etc) soaking in a semi clear brown liquid. My wife told me that it was homemade aftershave that needs to cure in the jar for 4-6 weeks then filtered through a coffee filter a few times before use. A little nervous here, but we'll see.

It wasn't Santa but my birthday. I was eventually able to get my sticky mits on my dovo and I got a tonne of RSC cream, face scrub and balm, another pot of Maca Root cream, a strop, a nice big mug, pre shave oils, towels for use as hot towels and a brush (it's bristle but I'm not criticising her for that).
Quite a nice surprise on the morning of my birthday

Thanked: 46For my sixty third Christmas, I got peace and quite, a warm fire in the fire place for my wife and I to sit by, a great card from wife, a wonderful meal, and one puck of my favorite shave soap. Any thing more would be excessive and degrade the meaning of Christmas. JMHO Best wishes, John

YI couldn't agree more. Christmas was spent in the embrace of my family who don't have much so relatively few gifts but that's not why I drive 8 hours to get home.
Hadn't seen them in 18 months so sitting around the table at my mums laughing and chatting then playing games with the kids, that made Christmas for me.
My birthday 2 days later, the beginning of my 4th decade spinning through space, my darling wife indulged me. She hadn't shown much interest but she'd done some quiet digging, on here I believe, and I got a wee box of goodies.

My lovely Wife got me a kit with some shaving soap and a boar hair brush, and a few really nice shirts. I was enjoying watching my almost 2 year old son open up the radio flyer tricycle and little tikes truck and going back and forth in them making motor sounds.
