Remedies for Straight Razor cuts?
Hey whats going on everyone. Well I just shaved for the first time ever with my new Dovo and I must say its wasnt too bad, but obtaining the proper angle was tricky. Anyhow, I managed to obtain a few cuts, which I take is common for a newbie with a straight razor. Do anyone use neosporin or bacitracin over the wounds over night to promote healing? And its it proper to use the left hand when shaving the left side of face or does it matter?
Thanks much, Respectfully,
Joshua

Agreed yes to both...unless you are allergic to neosporin (which is more common than many think). If allergies exist you may heal faster without.
The body is pretty good at healing all by itself as long as the cut is clean and left alone.
Ubiquitous: YMMV
Re: Remedies for Straight Razor cuts?
Last nite was about my 26th shave. My last few shaves have been great - bbs and slight nicks but no razor burn. Yesterday however I nicked the hell outta my mouth area- chin and upper lip. Is there such thing as a blade being too sharp? I think my angle and pressure are good. Don't wanna hijack the post but since we're on cuts. I can't figure out why this happened. Any thoughts?

Thanks Mike, that sounds reasonable enough. I know I don't stretch well there. Gotta get a better hold on my skin there!
