    Default first shave with "new" razor

    I just finished trying one of the razors I sent to Glen for honing and cleaning. I did one pass with my Robeson Shuredge and its on par with my DE, and most importantly, no pink lather in the sink. Glenn did an amazing job honing them and getting them back to me quickly. I figure with a little more practice I'll be getting BBS shaves, plus its my morning meditation before heading off into the madness that I work in.

    Congrats!!! Using a properly honed razor is def the way to start. one of my new razors did not come professionally honed. I put a much better edge on it but wound up scratching the blade grrrrrrr. I am going to send it off to Glenn to get what I know will be a proper edge as Im a beginner at honing and even though its sharp and shaves very well the bevel near the heel is slightly thinner than the rest. I have a Double Duck and a couple others for him too.

    Those Robeson's are a hidden little gem of a shaver, I was gifted one a few years back from a friend here (TY Jim) and it has never had a hiccup..

    I'm looking forward to comparing the razors I sent to Neil Miller for honing and my dovo.

    I tried and the dovo isn't passing the hanging hair test yet still delivers a more comfortable shave than a cartridge.

    It is most likely my stropping, but we all have to start somewhere and I've no regrets.

    I still have no idea how to perform the HHT
