first shave tomorrow
Tomorrow will be my first shave with a straight. I wont be doing it my wife got me a 30 min shave at a mens spa here. That should give me a good idea about using a straight razor. They do the hot towel thing and I'm going to be asking some questions during the process. Ill let you guys know how it goes.

That's sounds awesome, I don't even have places around here that do that. Just hair salons...ick no barbers. What is the world coming to.

enjoy the experience but realize a shave with a str8 that is honed and sharpened is a completely different experience...MUCH BETTER In the us it's law that getting a shave in a shop, the blade has to be new and then discarded after the shave so the blade is machine sharpened like a trac 2 and wont have the sharpness and may leave your face feeling a little irritated...also it usually takes several weeks of shaving with a str8 for your face to get used to the razor...many newbies complain about irritation initially this is because of tech and their face getting use to the razor...
