I've noticed that many, but not all, straights have a 3" blade. Many strops, however, are in fact smaller (i.e., 2.5"). Does it make a difference whether your strop in smaller than the blade? Is it better to purchase a larger one? If you can't afford a larger one, how does your stropping technique change to accomodate the difference in size?
