Pinklather, those are in the top line brushes from Semogue. You're right, the 620 is the perfect boar brush for face lathering. I have both and love them. Good stuff.

When the Assyrian says it's good....it's good.:)
I think my Badger might be getting a wee bit jealous.....
I went with an all Portuguese shave the other day. Well, except for the razor, I don't know of, nor have I heard of any Portuguese razors. But, the Semogue brush, Musgo Real orange amber cream and the Musgo Real after shave is a great combo. I was really surprised with the after shave, it's clear, but has some sort of oils or conditioner qualities to it. I'm 100% Azorean Portuguese, made in America. It's a shame I can't speak the language, I could understand it as a child, but that was so long ago, it's gone now. Both my parents were urged to speak nothing but English while growing up, that way my grandparents could learn to speak from them.
If anyone knows of a Portuguese razor brand, please let me know!!
Can't really say I have ever heard anything negative about either Portugal or the Portuguese themselves and by the by......I love Port wine mmmm. Maybe it would be a good place to retire to ???
My cousin inherited some land in the islands. I've seen pictures, awesome. Little stone cottage with lava rock fenced in vineyard overlooking the ocean. She plans to retire there. I'm going to hitch a ride along with her in a year or two and visit. Hell, just the weather alone is enough to get me to go! Never really freezes, never gets hot. All the Portugee's I know are Azorean. It's kinda funny, they are all very proud Azorean first, Portuguese second. I don't know of any Portuguese living in the middle of our country, lots on the coasts, both East and West. Lots in the Cali central valley, well, anywhere you find cows. All my family were born on dairies. I'd like to check out Rhode Island and that area, lots of my people there. Here's a couple pics of a house she inherited on Sao Jorge, it's a fixer upper, but I'd kill to live there.

Oooh man enough with the torture you devil. Man that looks so sweet. marry a nice black eyed Portuguese girl and disappear ! Never to be heard from again. stuff me and my cat in your suitcase and take us with you. We don't fuss much !:) Well.......maybe Zues just a wee bit, he's old n cranky.
I picked up my first boar brush from Semogue (the 620), and it's great for face lathering.
Well.........4-5 shaves into it now with this brush. It's still awesome. I find no less comfort with this brush. Boar is good when it's well made for sure. This is really starting to become my go to now. Oh my poor Badger.....
