Larger brushes hold more lather...this is not necessarily a good thing, IMO, as they require more product to make a good lather. I have a 24mm and find it too big and downsized to a 20mm. It's personal preference is all.

Usually with most brushes as you go to higher loft they are more expensive and have a thicker fill also. So, the overall brush is more massive. I used to have some 30mm brushes but these days prefer 26 or so. You can have too much of a good thing.

Thater is also famous for making their brushes slightly larger than they advertise, or at least they used to. My SRP 2011 LE is supposed to be 26mm, but it's closer to 28mm. Keep that in mind if you are ordering a larger brush.
