I agree. Really can't go wrong with the classics.
I could never go for a brush that didn't have a flat bottom to stand up on its own. I do hang them overnight to dry, but the herd stands up once they are done drying. Cool old brushes though.

i love the tall barber brushes. i took some ideas from vintage brushes for the one i made in curly koa.
In the middle of commissioning a huge (100mm+) handle made in faux Ivory. Not sure wether to go with a huge extra dense silver tip know a a nice big boar. Gonna be in that old school design. 2nd row, second from left

Ever-ready was the undisputed king of the common man's brush for many many years.
I once had a brush with a long handle with a rounded bottom and I hated it because it wouldn't stand on end.
