It really is and freaking soft. I'm dying a natural break in and doing it as I shave. I enjoy it more that way. I'm on shave three with it and it's getting better and better.

I was surprised seeing the tips part split already. And it didn't have much wet dog scent when I went to wash it before using it.

I believe its brass. There is nothing cheap, feel or look about it. IMO.
