Omega S-Brush

Omega Syntex (the one with the bicolored handle) is my go to brush. It gives me the best lather with the least effort and smallest amount of soap. Fibers need to be broken in as they are stiff. After 10-15 shaves you will start to appreciate the full quality of this brush.

@Kees - Has any difference in knot material with the Hi-Brush model ?

I just got an Omega S-Brush for $4.99 at Pasteur's in NYC. Used it for the first time today, and I think it's great! I have a Semogue boar, two silvertip badger knots from Golden Nib, and a small Edwin Jagger best badger. The boar is pretty stiff, but it's not broken in yet. The silvertips and best badger are very soft, and a little floppy. The synthetic seems just right (do I sound like Goldilocks?) I am a fan.

Face or bowl lather ?

I bought the red S-brush and I find it "stiff" compared to the previous 10049 model with Syintex bristles. In my opinion the Syintex works better, but Omega stopped the production. Anyway the S-brush is a very good cheaper brush and dries istantly! I don't know how works the Omega Hi-brush.

I don't know, I only have the one, it has been serving me for years and still works really well.
