The ONLY brushes available worth considering at this time are the Omega boar hair brushes available for $10. Granted that is the only brush I have ever used. And I completely just started last week.
"also do you have a vested interest in Thater??" is not a simple question, but a loaded one. It insinuates that I do actually have a vested interest in Thäter. Which would constitute a conflict of interest if I recommended their products nonetheless (cf rigged review). And that is libel.
OK, something does not add up here. According to this interview Straight Razor Magazine: Interview with Harald Schuldes, CEO at Heinrich L. Thäter GmbH Thater was originally a wooden toy manufacturer until 1950 when they switched to paint brushes and much later to shaving brushes. The Reichsmark was the German currency from 1924 to 1948 when the Deutsche Mark replaced it.
Thater has nowhere near over 100 years of experience in the making of shave brushes but has existed as a company for that long in one form or another.
The Reichsmark in post war Germany was virtually worthless as currency.
