    Default My $4.63 shave

I was at a drug store yesterday and found a Burma-Shave brush. 4.63 . Not a bad price so I bought it. I shaved with it today and it created lather. not good and not bad. found bristles all over my face. when I finished shaving I rinsed the brush in warm water and took it to the tub to shake off the excess water. well the excess water left the brush but so did almost all the bristles. there was hole out of the center of the brush and left just the bristles around the ring. That was my 4.63 dollar shave.

I wish I had kept it. It did go in the trash and your right the handle did look good. Red and kind of a cream color.

My vintage BurmaShave brush has broken in to be one of my favorite boar brushes.

Maybe it was a disposable brush. One use and you trash it.

That was my first brush. It stayed in my rotation until I had about a dozen brushes, (a year or so) then it got a new knot. Not because it needed one, just because it was time to lose the clipped boar knot and replace it with a nicer one.

I literally laughed out loud. I had the same experience a couple years ago!

To tell you the truth I guess I'll never learn. if I go into another store with another old brush. I'll bite. The brush I have that was my dads is a good brush but the Omega I got from SRD really is a better brush but it's not dads so i'll keep and use them both.
