The humidity here in Memphis is very high , not like in Manila though ,, so that's not his issue, something ain't right, mine drys while in my kit even, and that's not hung up, it's my only one I have for travel because of that. When I traveled with my badger. After a few days being put up wet it was starting to smell so I had to leave it out of the bag. One trip I rubber banded it to the outside of my T-Bag on my sissy bar to keep from staying wet, but no issue with the synthetic, I have the Simpson , but I don't think it matters what brand they don't hold water , that's why they lather differently. For mine, I set the knot a little deeper to get more backbone. I think the hair at the base of the knot catches moisture, which is why it will dry if I hang it up. Almost like a little plastic cup that holds moisture.
I do not think how high the loft is set on a synthetic has anything to do with how fast it dries. I have a Simpsons Chubby 2 with a 28mm knot set at 51mm and it dries fast. I have a couple of custom brushes ,one with a 24mm knot set to 48mm and the other a Muhle STF V2 reset to a loft of 54mm, and both dry fast. The only tall lofted synthetic I have left is a Plisson and it dries as fast as the low lofted ones.

Once I've rinsed the brush out I'll flick it over the bath or something to shake most of the water out and then foof it on a towel as well. That usually dries everything out pretty well, and then its bone dry by the next time I use it!
I always do that so the brush doesnt sit there wet and go smelly or anything.
I've tried to like synthetics but I just can't. Bought & sold EJ & Plisson (twice). I just don't like the way the feel on my face...and soap went splashing everywhere....less control than my beloved badgers.
