If you mean much stiffer backbone than a Simpsons Chubby 1 Super Badger ( didn't think that was possible), with the tips of the brush very firm on the face (could really dig in with no splay), yet the tips themselves were like my Plisson HMW #10 (which is much like the Thater 4125/0 IMO), like a velvet touch, then yes.
Pointless to get to much into comparing various brushes against each other as it's all YMMV - but this brush seems to have found a winning mix of the best features of a couple of my favorites(Simpson/Plisson).
