Nice scuttle, must hold the heat in well. I especially like the color transition.
BTW Taz, You may want to keep extra floor tiles on hand in case you drop the scuttle ;)

If its ceramic maybe you could use the bottom as a hone.
Looks great :D I'm still a bit fuzzy on how you use those things... :p
Water in the outside and lather and brush in the open bowl. It is basically a double boiler it keeps your lather and brush hot. The advantage of the bigger one you can actually build your lather in the bowl. On the smaller one you put the brush loaded with lather and set it in there. I have built lather with soap and a Chubby 1 in the small but any bigger then that brush it would be real tough. Once you use one it is hard to not use it. When I travel I actually use a make shift one in hotel rooms. IMHO it is a must have:bow
So about how long does the water stay hot for in the small bowl? Do you think that they could make one with the similar design of the Old English scuttle on classicshaving.com?
the small bowl is just a fill spout to fill the scuttle
Where did you get it from mine did not take that long.
