Thanked: 3222Rooney Victoria thoughts
I have been using the Rooney Victoria a fair bit now and thought I'd just make a few comments about it. It bloomed out to a very nice fan shape. The tips are not the softest 3 band tips I have used but are plenty soft in my book. It has a very good amount of backbone compared to other 3 band badgers I have use which surprised me. Normally through past experience I am a bit ambivalent toward 3 band badgers because the tended to have not enough backbone for me when I face lather but this one is different. I enjoy using it for face lathering.
The long handle is very comfortable in my big mitts and allows for quite a few different comfortable grips to be used when face lathering. I have no doubt that it would also be very suitable to those who bowl lather.
It lost the odd hair at the beginning but seems to have stopped doing that now. Pretty normal I think for a brush to do that initially.
In the beginning the knot dried and appeared to have the hairs clump up. Never saw that before and I mention that to rolodave. He recommended that I try shampooing the knot with hair conditioner. I did that twice and no more clumping. No idea why it did that in the first place but it is gone now.
All in all I do not regret buying the brush. Feels great and lathers up a storm.
This is the brush post blooming.
