please recommend a scritchy brush... on a budget
I've been thinking of picking up another brush, something that is very scritchy/prickly. Sometimes I want to use a brush that really scrubs and feels satisfyingly scratchy. I also would like to be able to make a great lather in a bowl or mug with it, as opposed to a brush that works better for face lathering. Now, I'm on a budget for this and I'm no brush aficionado, that's for sure, so any recommendations are much appreciated...

Thanks for the replies and ideas, guys. I will look into these different options and go from there. "Our custom brush makers", eh? Where do I find who's on that list?

Thanked: 250You might take a look at some of the Semogue boar brushes. I use the #830 on the cheap hard to lather soaps like Williams.

Thanked: 3228An inexpensive Omega 10066 boar brush might also fit the bill. Once they are well broken in they are great to use. Then there is horse hair brushes that have a ton of prickly to me at least.

Head over to the Brushmakers Alcove and look over the threads from members here who have created some nice brushes.
