Is that the reminisce of a logo or just schmutz.
I'm looking, but no progress. Is the stamp a straight razor with the letter "F" ?

Yes, that's what it looks like. The store I got it from usually gets returns from Amazon but I scoured their selection.
Certainly the logo is a monogram for the owner. Unless there is a makers mark it just might be a custom brush.
In this case, I must defer to Spender......(coff-coff!) ;)
