    Default Boar Brush

Hello all... Im looking to see if anyone has a recommendation for a higher end boar brush? Im not even sure if a so called boar brush is made in such a version? I have and use my Omega 49, 66 and Omega travel with great results but would like one with a better quality bristle if that is possible in boar? And i do have a couple mid-tier badger brushes that i use and dont mind but for me personally my face likes the feel of a nice warm warn in boar bristle brush... Thanks for any help.. Scott W

I did see a "high end" boar brush from ABBATE Y LA MANTIA on WCS. Also Semogue Owners Club has some boar brushes in nice handles, both wood and faux ivory. I do not know if the bristles are better than less expensive knots, but the handles are nice.

You can always have one of the custom brush makers make a handle to your specifications and then mount a boar knot.

BullGoose carries a Thäter Premium Boar brush, as well as a Semogue TSN LE Premium Boar brush. Both brushes have premium bristles. The Semogue SOC Premium Boar in Taj Resin is also a very nice brush.

If you're a soap guy, the Semogue 620 is a soap killer and ideal for face lathering. If you prefer a softer knot with a higher loft, the Semogue 830. Both are great value for the money. If you aren't sure, get both.

While there are some boars that are definitely nicer than others true high end Boars don't exist the way they do with Badger.

Boar in general is considered a low end brush so manufacturers don't usually do them with upper end handles and to my knowledge grades don't exist the way they do with Badger.

You might find a custom maker who might put one together for you with your specs.
