Default simpson pj2 super for saville row?

I have a PJ2 in super that I use daily. It is my only badger brush. I have a couple of borar brushes that I use infrequently. I have been thinking that the saville row brush 3226 or its smaller version would suit me well. The Persian jar is nice but I think it was overpriced at 150 dollars and it does not seem to really mold to my face as I use it. I think I could use a brush with a little more give. Do you think a SR 3226 or the smaller version of it would suit me better? I have heard good things about this brush and maker but so far my only silvertip that I have used has been the Persian jar so I do not have much to base my experiences on.

I am thinking about offering it for a trade or selling it and buying the SR but just can't decide if I should take the gamble or not. THe PJ2 is definitley a nice brush but after using one for close to a year I think I could find something that works better for me.

    Opinions anybody?

Not sure what you mean by "mold to my face." Is the PJ2 too stiff and you're looking for a more "floppy" brush or a brush with a little more give?

You can try a Crabtree & Evelyn Best Badger Brush...I think mine's got give, but it will scrub a bit, too. The best part is, it's only $35. Vulfix brushes are known for a little less backbone, and some call them floppy.

A review of the C&E BBB is here. Simpson brush measurements are found here, and you can compare your PJ2 to other brushes.

I couldn't find a review of the particular Saville Row brush you're considering, but others are reviewed and perhaps of some help.

I also know that Shavemac will make a bespoke brush as will other custom makers. I have two from Dan Capshaw, and I can vouch for him.

Good luck, and I hope this helps.
