Although I don't have one myself (yet), I've heard nothing but good about them, and I would say you are pretty safe.
I've got a nice piece of amboynia burl I'm thinking of sending to him...
I justed shaved with Dan Capshaw brush today. The one that has been reviewed here.

I have 3 brushes from Dan that have more than exceeded my expectations.
Its just a shame that he isn't taking any orders at the minute:thinking:
Oh hell yeah! They're amazing:

I'd love to buy one. Put my name on the "waiting list" a month or two ago, but still haven't heard heard back...
C'mon Dan, get back to work!!
I love mine!

I have one as well. I have used it every other day for the last few months, and it has shed a few hairs (but not more than 10 or so).
It's a 28mm knot best badger, made from cherry burl, and it's awesome.
Dan Capshaw makes amazingly beatiful brushes! And at a fraction of the cost, it out performs many of my premium brushes!! To say I'm pleased with it is an understatement!!:y
My brush has a flexible 30mm knot with macassar ebony handle!... Looks classy but yet traditional.
