Thread: My hand made brush... no turning here!

Hey guys, I have been working on this brush for a while in the spare time I have and thought I'd put up some pics... not sure if this needs to be in the workshop, but oh well.

This knot is a silvertip 26mm I got from the golden nib

The handle I made by hand carving from a block I made by gluing a piece of claro walnut between two pieces of very nice quilted maple (the pictures do no justice to the figure in this wood). I sanded it all and coated it with tung oil...

I was going for a unique design that was ergonomical as well as good looking. I don't have a lathe, and frankly I wanted to try something with a different design. I am happy about how this one feels, the inside curve fits perfectly into my hand.
