silvertipped boarbrush with stand
* super badger hair
so today i was looking through the local pawnshop, and i ran across a beautiful, sturdy super badger brush, on a chrome stand.
the stand has a little arm with holes, the only thing i can think it would be for is the double sided safety razors, the ones that look like gillettes.
there both in great shape, a little crusty, its been used, but nothing that wont come off.
it was definitly well cared for. the bristles seem sturdy and Much softer than the "pure boar" brush i got at the beauty shop.
it was only 10 bucks.
its very similair to this, Razor, Shave Brush & Bowl Universal Holder
but instead of one large loop on the back, it has 2 smaller ones. also mine is not for a bowl underneath. but otherwise identical
the brush looks pretty much like this one, but maybe a little larger

i think i got a pretty good deal
I only bought new starting out
So I didn't end up scratching my head questioning variables. Knowing I had quality tools, so I focused on technique and got straight shaving down quickly. If I had questionable tools, my progress up the learning curve would have been very slow as I would not have focused on my technique and questioned other variables.:banghead:
Another reason I like new is because I know that I am caring for it properly on day one and they are performing for me as they should. Now that I have experience with the way these tools should work, I can venture off into the second hand market and make better decisions.
