    Default A inexpensive travel brush

    Is there any travel badger travel brushes for under $60 that are worth the purchase? The only other brush I've had my eye on is the Vulfix.

    I have an Edwin Jagger brush within the cost window you mentioned.
    Its a Best Badger and works quite nicely.

    I really like the Muhle synthetic silver tip travel brush as seen here Muhle Silvertip Fibre Synthetic Travel Shave Brush . Lathers creams and shave sticks very well and dries quickly.

    Another very good cheap alternative would be one of these Omega 10066 -100% Boar Bristle Shaving Brush stored in a prescription pill container that is free, usually, for the asking at a pharmacy. I have that brush and it also lathers all soap and creams well but needs a break in period of about 2 weeks of constant use.

    A simple solution, buy the best knot you can afford and stick it in a PVC plumbing cap.

    If you are really cool, find the PVC tube coupler of a size for it to go into to go with it and then you will have a storage tube it fits into.

    I got this older travel brush (just came in today). Seems they're a few out there at any given time.
    Does someone know how to identify bristle material? Hope the seller doesn't mind me using his photo. And sorry don't mean to hijack the thread either.

    Looking at that brush I would say its a boar brush.

    For the op omega makes a turnback boar brush that is nice.

    I also have this brush, in the aluminum tube, and am quite pleased with it. The brush has good backbone, it is springy, and holds water and lather well. The brush is well worth the price.

    I just bought a Simpsons Case brush with the tube. Used it once so far but it seems like a nice brush.
