    Default Help me choose

I just bought my first razor and upon receiving it, the scales will be removed and it will be given a face lift. There are a bunch of scales out on my shop just waiting. My issue now is choosing a brush. I've turned quite a few and like them all equally, which would choose?

it's all personal preference... but my vote is the fifth from the left ... reminds me of a chess rook or something, pretty cool

They are all very nice, but I would avoid one with a squared top.

By the way, these handles are all close to being finished but not quite there yet. They still lack a bit of trimming and need to be sanded and polished to an obscene grit.

hmm..thats a hard task! Personaly i had to feel it in my hands to choose one..but if i couldn't, and have to choose one..maybe the number 2 or 6 from the left..or 4 ( i like the wood).. if i have problems in helping you choose one..imagine to choose my scuttle from george town pottery!!! it was a thing that last days!..by the way i end up with choosing the "green" one!
Ps - now looking better i will pick up the..i like things very "minimalistic" so i would go for the 6 from the left..but shes kind a small..you have to put a small brush in it to be well balanced i guess..
    Good luck with the choice!

Interesting perception and I would agree. Have you given any thought to turning a handle to resemble chess pieces? I think a rook or bishop would be a custom brush handle I would be interested in.

Numbering 1-8, from left to right, I like 1, 4, 6, and 8, but can't decide between 1 and 4 for my recommendation.

Good idea. I would be interested in a handle that resembled chess pieces too. Nice work BTW.

I've turned 2 chess piece handles thus far. The bishop went fast. :-) thanks again btw.

I ended up choosing the bocote handle. Its dark grain and pattern go great with some highly figured bocote scales that are sitting in my shop ready to adorn my new razor. Oh, and for the knot, I'm going with a 22mm Silvertip from Golden Nib.

Thank you all for your comments and compliments.
