Question What kind of stands to ppl use for straights?

I just ordered my first straight and am wondering what's the best way to store it while not in use? I'd rather not just leave it lying on the counter. I've seen a nice-looking "crescent" metal straight stand, but the price considering it's mostly just some bent wire is rather prohibitive.

Some people use Tooth brush stands available at Walmart ot Target. They are round, hold 4 tooth brushes abd open between the top and bottom. There are also test tube holders, pipe racks, home made stands, mugs and commercial stands. There have been several threads on this topic. If you do a site search you will get a lot more feedback and pics. Good luck!

I simply stick mine in a coffee cup. No little kiddie hands to worry about so nothing more secure needed.

The toothbrush stands look great--I'll keep my eye out for one next time I'm in one of those types of stores.
