Default Anyone know of this seller?

    Hi guys

Im looking to upgrade to a silvertip after a year and a half of st8 shaving. Currently I have a boar and a standard brush.

Has anyone done business with, or know this seller? l1boss on ebay?
Here is an example of his work York Gum Burl Wood 28mm Silvertip Badger Shaving Brush - eBay (item 250556178326 end time Jan-29-10 17:44:19 PST)

Looks very good. I'd like to know if anyone has experience with such brushes by this seller, and how they may compare to a Martinez custom or a Semogue for example.

When you're willing to part with the cash required for a silvertip, you want to make sure you make the right choice, as I'm sure you know where I'm coming from..

    Many thanks

Not familiar with him but a decent feedback record. We have seen a ton of pen guys come into the environment making brushes in the past year or so and most doing nice work.

You might send him a question and ask him where he gets his knots. I suspect most of the guys doing brushes are getting them from the same place, ie, Golden Nib and if so, they are decent. You might also find out what he is using to glue the knot into the handle. In addition, you can ask if the wood handle is stabilized and what he uses to coat the wood. These questions should give you an idea of the quality of the brush and if he will back up his product, then you are good to go.

From there, it's a matter of whether it is the size and style you like.

    Have fun,

    Lynn
