Default Redwood Lace Burl Custom brush (smaller this time)

Hey fellas, I just got a lathe for christmas and thought I'd test out my skills (sure, I've used the lathe once or maybe twice in high school shop class ) on a shaving brush.

This time I went with a really nice Finest badger knot from the UK... I believe it's a 18 or 20mm. It's a smaller size than I usually do, but I seem to be moving toward smaller knots these days, the big face mops aren't doing as much for me

Anyway, I turned this from a piece of redwood lace burl I had sitting around, and finished it with shellac for a vapor barrier followed by 5-6 coats of tru-oil. Then I used some fancy polishing stuff I have for working on guitars and I am pretty happy with it.

So, please take a look and let me know what you think

Oh I forgot to say that I set the knot fairly deep in order to give the brush a bit more density to it, I am a big fan of doing this FWIW.

    Cheers
    Dave
