How should I pack my brush when traveling?

I kept the box, just in case, but what would you recommend I do to keep it getting bent or mildewy? Also, what should I do with my shave soap? It's already stuck in my mug so should I just leave it and take the whole thing?.

How to pack depends on how big your wet pack is, what you pack in it and for how long. Bestgroomingtools.com has travel tubes for brushes. Or you can use the cardboard tube that comes inside a role of paper towels. For your soap, Bull Goose has travel metal jars with screw caps. Or you might want to take a tube of lather shaving cream instead. If you don't have a travel case for your straight razor, use a toothbrush holder. Really, this whole travel thing is open to improvisation.

Your local pharmacy will sell (or give) you one of these to use if your brush is fairly small.You can drill some small holes in the bottom to let moisture out.

+1 on Obie's advice. I have several of the brush travel tubes from BGT for storage of my brushes. As far as shaving soap goes, there are travel tins you can purchase for your soap from Vintage Blades, LLC w/ soap already in it. You can also purchase Proraso in a travel tub. If I were you, though, I would purchase a shave soap, stick--Arko, Palmolive, Erasmic, Speick, etc.. A stick is very convenient for travel.

I just wrap my brush in tissue paper and stow it in the middle of the bag where it wont get bashed. This works pretty well for me..! You can get special brush holders if you prefer though.

In terms of the soaps, all of mine are in their original containers so I just chuck them in as is, again in the middle of the bag to stop them getting banged.

Yup, same here. Seems to work well enough, but I can understand if you prefer to have nicer storage containers and whatnot.

A lot of Pharmacies sell travel sets for flying with different size tubes and soap containers some of those might work and would be sturdy yet inexpensive.
Also Keep an eye out at antique shops for old travel grooming kits.
I have seen several lately with tubes for different things and they where vary reasonably priced one even had a travel brush and mirror.

I just use a large medicine bottle for my Semogue 1305. Fits perfectly.
