Ever-Ready 925 first brush restore
Green and Black handle with a Pure Badger knot from the Golden Nib.
As purchased from the antique store with old knot:
The top and bottom were coming apart already so I took them completely apart, cleaned out the old epoxy/hair, and reglued them:
Shot inside a hollow ever-ready:
Then after a hand polish with Flitz and rag:
I used an old wine cork and epoxied it down to the base of the green portion:
then using a dremel and various bits I ground it down to get the correct loft height. *note - a bonus to using a cork is the nice wine smell that you get when you start heating up/cutting down the cork. It was Cabernet if I remember correctly*
